Leeds United: Fans react to Marcelo Bielsa’s Manager of the Month nomination

Leeds United fans have been reacting on Twitter to the news that Marcelo Bielsa has been nominated for the Sky Bet Championship’s Manager of the Month award.

The Argentine boss was one of four men to have been named on the shortlist for August’s award, alongside Lee Bowyer (Charlton Athletic), Steve Cooper (Swansea City) and Lee Johnson (Bristol City).

Bielsa continued his impressive record as Whites boss, having guided his side to four wins, one draw and one defeat in their opening six games of the campaign, leaving the Elland Road outfit in third position and conceding just three goals in that time (BBC).

There has been a general consensus amongst a number of fanbases that the winner of the award has a ‘curse put on them’ (The Times), which will have left a number of the Leeds supporters keen for the Argentine to miss out.

However, many of them have shared their congratulatory messages to the 64-year-old and continued to praise their manager.
