Leeds United fans react to Patrick Bamford’s training goal and Marcelo Bielsa’s celebration

Leeds United fans’ Twitter timelines were blessed with an absolutely unbelievable volley in training by Patrick Bamford yesterday evening.

The 25-year-old striker made the move to Elland Road during the summer but only mustered five substitute appearances in the Championship prior to suffering a serious knee injury back in September, which has since kept him out of Marcelo Bielsa’s side.

Yet the former Middlesbrough forward showed signs that he is getting back to his best with a stunning goal in training, as the ball was played over his head from deep and he struck it effortlessly over the goalkeeper from an acute angle on his left foot.

The goal was met by a charging hug by manager Bielsa, who appeared to be as pleased as Bamford following the finish, with that strike displaying that Bamford’s return is nearing and when the time does come, he could be set to challenge Kemar Roofe for that starting striker role once again.

Unsurprisingly, Bamford’s remarkable strike at Thorp Arch, and indeed Bielsa’s reaction, has stimulated quite a response from several Leeds fans on Twitter, with many loving the manager’s reaction to his striker’s wonderful hit…

While some looked past Bielsa’s reaction to laud Bamford for a breathtaking finish…

Leeds fans… what do you think? Let us know!
