Leeds United have confirmed the departure of Bailey Peacock-Farrell on the club’s official website and a number of fans took to Twitter to share their reactions to the news.

The Northern Ireland international will team up with Premier League outfit Burnley on a four-year deal for an undisclosed fee, although the Whites are believed to have received around £3.5m for the 22-year-old.
As the Yorkshire Evening Post noted, Peacock-Farrell made his intentions clear over the summer revealing that if he failed to earn his spot back he may be forced to search for a new club and because he was entering the final 12 months of his contract, it meant Leeds were forced to act.
He started the campaign as Marcelo Bielsa’s number one as he made 29 appearances across all competitions, keeping ten clean sheets and conceding 32 goals (Transfermarkt). However, he quickly fell out of favour and was subsequently replaced by Kiko Casilla as the Spaniard became a mainstay in the team.
The ‘keeper becomes just one of a number of players to have left Elland Road this summer, with Sky Sports noting that Samu Saiz, Jack Clarke, Tyler Denton, Aapo Halme, Pontus Jansson, Liam Kitching and Mallik Wilks have already departed.
Indeed, as is the norm in the modern era, fans have leapt to Twitter to provide their immediate responses to the news that Peacock-Farrell is no longer at the club.
