Leeds United fans have revealed their unhappiness at Sky Sports’ top-five Championship goals of the season, which does not include Luke Ayling’s strike against Huddersfield.
Prior to football’s postponement due to recent events, the right-back played a massive part in Leeds’ win 2-0 win over the Terriers, netting a thunderous volley to open the scoring in the game.
Ayling has had a tremendous season at Elland Road, contributing to Marcelo Bielsa’s side which sit top of the Championship table as things stand by making 28 league appearances, scoring four goals and providing four assists (Transfermarkt).
The talented defender volleyed home against Huddersfield after a cross from winger Jack Harrison, with his effort cannoning in just under the crossbar, sending the Elland Road faithful into raptures.
Sky Sports’ vote on the top five goals in the Championship this season included Sonny Bradley’s strike for Luton Town against Middlesbrough, Anthony Knockaert’s goal for Fulham against West Bromwich Albion, Kieffer Moore’s goal for Wigan Athletic v Reading, Louie Sibley’s strike for Derby against Blackburn, and the winner – Ashley Fletcher, who scored for Boro against West Bromwich Albion.
