Leeds United suffered a blow to their automatic promotion aspirations to Wigan Athletic on Saturday afternoon, which left a number of their supporters venting their frustrations towards Kiko Casilla.
It is not the first time the Whites have seen their hopes of playing in the Premier League in the following campaign take a hit by the Latics, with last season’s meeting surely still sitting a little fresh in the minds of many of those in the Elland Road stands.
Indeed, Saturday’s encounter could have been the perfect opportunity for Marcelo Bielsa’s side to exact a form of revenge on their opponents, however things could not have gone any worse for the hosts as Pablo Hernandez put the ball into his own net and gave Wigan all three points in the process.
Fans would have been understandably furious with the result but it seems many were infuriated with Casilla’s performance in between the sticks as a plethora of them took to Twitter to share their anger towards the Spaniard.
Many slammed the veteran shot-stopper with some even stating that Bielsa needed to drop him from the first-team as they felt they would have a better chance of winning promotion to the Premier League without him in the side.
One fan even mentioned that he costs the club as many points as Patrick Bamford, which is probably taken from the number of shots he has had on-target – just 40 of his 107 attempts (WhoScored).

There's no doubting bielsa is a top coach and knows how to get players fitter than they have ever been, but his decision making is poor imo. Casilla needs to be dropped, and why not give the new signings a run out today.
