Leeds United fans were calling for Marcelo Bielsa to sub off Luke Ayling during their encounter with Luton Town on Saturday afternoon.
The Whites managed to overcome the Hatters at Kenilworth Road with a 2-1 victory (BBC), however supporters on Twitter were far from impressed with the performance of their right-back.
According to the data collected by WhoScored, it could be argued that the 28-year-old did not have a poor game when looking at the figures. Ayling managed to achieve three total tackles, four interceptions, three clearances whilst making one key pass.
However, some fans appeared to single him out as a player who was a danger to their chances of coming away from Bedfordshire with all three points, with some highlighting him as the reason as to why they conceded the goal they did as well.
Many slammed Ayling throughout the game, whilst a plethora of the Whites’ faithful had called for Bielsa to withdraw him from the field of play before it was too late – although he would go on to play the full 90 minutes.
Here are just some of their reactions…
Luke Ayling again not marking properly second game running. #lufc

Two games in a row Ayling has lost his man far to easy and cost us two goals. #LUFC

Leeds need to get a grip of this. This is a shocking lack of control from Leeds. 1-0 up and have gifted Luton back into this game. Poor discipline from Ayling allowed Luton to dominate from the Leeds goal. #lufc

The next change needs to be Ayling. He’s all over #lufc
