Leeds United: Tyler Roberts’ pledge to ‘kick on’ from Hull City brace excites supporters

Speaking to the Yorkshire Evening Post, Leeds United youngster Tyler Roberts has pledged to ‘kick on‘ from that brilliant brace in the 4-0 win away to Hull City last weekend – resulting in many supporters singing his praises and lauding a ‘frightening talent‘.

Phillips, who recently returned from a calf injury sustained in the 2-0 loss away to Nottingham Forest, has seemingly suffered enough injuries to ‘last a lifetime‘ at the young age of 22 – but his two goals at Hull have presented a platform on which to build momentum. The youngster’s brace in the final ten minutes cemented a brilliant victory for Marcelo Bielsa’s men, with that win moving the Whites five points clear of Fulham in the automatic promotion places.

It also stretches their winning run to four out of their last four, but Phillips has pledged to ‘kick on’ from that memorable afternoon and cement his place in the team ahead of the final few months of the campaign.
