Leeds United: Victor Orta says fans are in top 10 in the world

Plenty of Leeds United fans have reacted to comments made by Director of Football Victor Orta about the passion he feels working at the club.

The Yorkshire club sit top of the Championship table as things stand with an automatic promotion to the Premier League very much close to being sealed.

Boss Marcelo Bielsa has masterminded Leeds’ successful route to top spot after losing the play-off semi-final to Derby County last season.

With football and promotion for Leeds on the backfoot as things stand, fans have been engaging through various social media accounts and they have now reacted to comments made by Spaniard Orta.

Orta, who is largely outspoken, has previously spent time with La Liga side Sevilla and Championship rivals Middlesbrough, and he has compared the former’s fans with those of The Whites.

Speaking on Cadena SER’s podcast Play Futbol, via Estádio Deportivo, Orta explained being part of the club as a ‘religion’.
