Our Leeds fans here in the Transfer Tavern remain confident in what Garry Monk is doing this season as they continue to head for the play-offs at the end of the year.
Indeed, despite their 0-0 draw with QPR at the weekend the Whites are still firmly in contention for the top six spots and look like they’ll be there or thereabouts until May.
They face Brighton next, too, and will surely think that a win then could ignite a late surge for automatic promotion.
Whatever happens, though, this summer will be crucial in terms of Monk and the club moving forwards and according to the printed version of The Sun – via The Daily Star – they are keen on Ollie Watkins.
The 21-year-old forward has impressed at Exeter City in League 2 this season and could be an inspired signing given the idea that he’d more than likely be a cheap punt.
Indeed, if it comes off Monk would surely be hailed as even more of a hero but nothing will compare to if he can get the Whites back into the top flight at last.
