The post-Claude Puel era at the King Power got off to a great start last night after Leicester City went on to beat Brighton 2-1 in the Premier League as new boss Brendan Rodgers watched from the stands.
Goals from Demarai Gray and Jamie Vardy helped the Foxes secure all three points in a performance that would have left Rodgers impressed.
And aside from the well-taken finishes by Gray and Vardy, something else that would have caught the Leicester manager’s attention is the display of attacker Harvey Barnes.
Barnes, who returned to the King Power last month after having his loan spell at West Brom cut short, impressed yet again in a blue shirt, staking a good claim to be a regular starter under Rodgers.
That Man of the Match performance alone was an encouraging sign for the former Celtic boss, who will be hoping to guide his new side to a seventh place finish with Leicester still in the equation when it comes to that spot outside of the Premier League top six.
Have a look at what supporters are saying about Barnes below…
