Leicester City: Fans react to funny club tweet and James Maddison winner

Many Leicester City fans are elated after the club rocketed themselves back into the Champions League places on the weekend by beating last year’s finalists Tottenham Hotspur.

Fans reacted to a club tweet which both showed Maddison’s beautiful winner, but also a joke from the admin.

The tweet read as if it was a section of a dictionary, with the word ‘winner’ being used, but for the example of the word they used James Maddison’s winner, saying: ‘e.g. James Maddison scores the winning goal against Tottenham Hotspur’.

It was a big goal for James Maddison, as well as his first in the league this season as Leicester surprised Spurs from behind to go on to win the fixture. The side are now third in the league and have won three, drawn two and lost one. They have also faced Chelsea, Manchester United and Spurs and sit above all three of them – so they look in good stead for the rest of the campaign.
