Leicester’s injured duo Jamie Vardy and Wilfred Ndidi have been taking time away from rehabilitation to take part in an impromptu sparring match.
Vardy missed Friday’s Premier League defeat to Norwich with a calf injury and is set to miss the midweek FA Cup clash with Birmingham, whilst Ndidi has been recovering from knee surgery earlier in the season.
The video of the two players sparring appeared on Leicester’s Twitter feed yesterday. It showed a competitive clash that was ultimate ‘won’ when Vardy dealt a low blow to his Nigerian teammate.
Many Leicester fans enjoyed the light-hearted video, but some were less than impressed that Vardy and Ndidi are play-fighting whilst injured. Ndidi and Vardy are rated as the club’s second and fourth-best performers with WhoScored this season – and given the Foxes’ recent dip in form, many are anxious to have them back in the team as soon as possible.

Ndidi needs to go challenge Anthony Joshua for the World's heavyweight title belts.
