Many Leicester City fans have shared their love for Kasper Schmeichel after the club celebrated the fact he turns 33 today.
The Leicester skipper has been at the club since 2011, and must surely go down as one of their best ever transfers in the modern era, costing just £1m, per The Leicester Mercury.
Not only has he been captain and won the Premier League with the Foxes, but he has also now racked up 346 games for the Foxes – keeping a mammoth 110 clean sheets along the way.
As they have risen through English football, Schmeichel has managed to mirror their achievements through his personal improvement.
Schmeichel is unequivocally a club legend at the King Power – he is the club’s fourth all-time record appearance holder in the Premier League (per 11v11) – and he is showing no signs of slowing down, even winning the Premier League title back in 2016.
This season, the Dane and his defence have had the joint-best start in the Premier League, conceding just eight goals from 11 games and keeping four clean sheets.
