Leicester City handed key boost ahead of Tottenham clash

According to the Leicester Mercury, Andy King should be fit to face Spurs this weekend, much to the relief of the Leicester City fans here in the Transfer Tavern.

King has been a mainstay for the club this season but was injured during the 3-1 victory over Crystal Palace, sparking real fears that he wouldn’t be fit for this weekend against one of the Foxes’ title rivals from last season.

It looks as though only Tottenham will challenge for the title this season out of the two sides according to most of our regulars, but there’s no reason why Leicester can’t cause a shock after their win over Palace.

Daniel Amartey came on for King during the game on Saturday and would be the one to take his place again against Spurs, but our local Foxes fans want to see the Welshman back in the side: “He gives a bit more creativity in the middle of the pitch alongside Drinkwater than Amartey does and I think we’ll need that against Spurs.” Said one of our more prevalent Leicester supporters.
