Many Leicester City fans have taken to Twitter to seemingly mock some of the Chelsea fanbase over their rising star Ben Chilwell.
After Chilwell put in a man-of-the-match performance for England last night, many of the Foxes’ fans went on Twitter and started saying “come to Leicester” – mimicking how Chelsea fans have been bombarding his posts with “come to Chelsea” tweets.
It seems like the joke has managed to snowball, as plenty of fans on Ben Chilwell’s post about the match could be seen making the same joke about coming to Leicester, as shown below.
The 22-year-old put in a stellar performance for the Three Lions yesterday evening as they overcame Montenegro 7-0 at Wembley. Playing at left-back, he managed to provide three assists in the match as well as a clean sheet to help England officially qualify for Euro 2020.
