Just last week, Vardy was only the joint fourth-highest goalscorer in the division, however, after his club’s demolition job of Southampton, he has put himself at top spot.
Vardy was able to score three goals against the Saints, scoring his final hat-trick goal in the final minute of the game from the penalty spot.
Leicester managed to record 15 shots on target throughout the match, as well as 25 shots overall, showing just how dominant they were throughout the game (according to BBC’s stats).
Vardy has now gone above Tammy Abraham, Sergio Aguero and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to jump to the top of the Premier League goalscoring charts.
