Leicester City have ended up having another decent season in the Premier League, with manager Claude Puel doing a decent job for the Foxes after taking over from Craig Shakespeare.

Next season will be a business as usual for the Midlands club and they will be hoping that some strong summer recruitment can see them improve further and potentially challenge for a place in Europe, something they have failed to do since their historic title win two years back.

Here in the Tavern, our landlord has loved watching the story unfold with the Foxes, and he genuinely believes they are only one or two players away from being a serious contender for the Europa League spots.

Jamie Vardy has long been the go to striker for the club, and he has once again been impressive, however, there is a thought that he needs more help, with the likes of Iheanacho and Okazaki not exactly blazing a goal trail.

With that in mind, we’ve taken a look at TWO strikers who Leicester City could look to sign this summer…

Danny Welbeck

The Arsenal man has come back into the fold for the Gunners of late, but with his place in the team threatened by the likes of Aubameyang and Lacazette, he might well seek a move in the summer to cement himself as a first team regular.

A move to Leicester wouldn’t be the end of the world for the former Man United man, and a pairing of him and Vardy would be a decent little duo for the Foxes.

Quick, good in front of goal, and with top level experience, Welbeck would be a superb addition to the squad at the King Power.

Christian Benteke

The big Belgian striker has found it hard going at Crystal Palace this season, with the club struggling down in the lower regions of the league and Benteke himself struggling to find the goals.

A summer move is looking increasingly likely though for Benteke, and a switch to the King Power could reinvigorate the former Villa man.

There is plenty of ability in the tank of Benteke, he just needs to hit form once again, and making a move in the summer to somewhere like Leicester could be just the tonic he needs to get going again.
