The Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern have been reacting to their club-captain, Jordan Henderson’s comments ahead of tonight’s Champions League semi-final first leg between Liverpool and Roma. Speaking in an interview for the Liverpool website, Henderson claimed that he and his teammates can draw inspiration from the success in the club’s past as they walk out at Anfield tonight.

The Liverpool fans propping our bar up are getting excited now. The club are just three wins away from getting their hands on ol’ big ears for the first time since 2005. The famous club has an incredible record in Europe, winning five Champions League/European Cup trophies in their history. The club are now playing in another semi-final in the competition against Roma, who they beat on penalties to win the tournament in 1984.
The current crop of Liverpool players have everything that they need to get past their Italian counterparts tonight. Former I Giallorossi goalscorer, Mohamed Salah will play a large part in the game without a doubt. The forward has scored 41 goals in 46 games for the Reds this season and for Liverpool to progress to the competition’s final in Kiev they’ll need him to put his history with Roma behind him and be prepared to put them to the sword.

Last time to use our famous Anfield atmosphere tonight,so make some noise and be as intimidating for Roma as it possibly can and roar the Reds onto victory
