Liverpool fans in the Football Transfer Tavern have no hard feelings after talkSPORT revealed that their outcast midfielder Suso is set to join AC Milan on a four-year deal.
The move will happen either this January or next summer and punters by the bar feel that it is about time he escaped after struggling to break into Brendan Rodgers’ first team.
The Spaniard has had very little luck at Anfield having only made 21 appearances for the Merseyside club despite consistently standing out in the reserves.
Although he spent last season on loan at Almeria, he has since been ruled out for three months with an injury he suffered in the League Cup against Middlesborough where he scored his first competitive goal for the Reds.
The 21-year-old agreed terms with the Italian giants earlier on this week and his agent Jaime Serra confirmed the news on Wednesday.
“Yes, I can confirm that there is an agreement between Milan and Suso on a four-year contract,” commented Serra.
“There’s a possibility [he will arrive in January]. We’ll just have to see what happens between now and the end of the transfer window.”
