According to BILD, both Liverpool and Chelsea are eyeing a January move for Schalke defender Sead Kolašinac, whose contract expires at the end of the season.
As a result, he would likely be available on a cut-price fee in January, or on a free next summer.
Kolašinac is a 23-year-old left back, and has been impressing when given an opportunity for Schalke so far this season. He’s made 4 league starts so far this year.
A few of the Liverpool fans leaning by the bar have lauded this proposed deal as a masterstroke, with James Milner currently filling in for Alberto Moreno on the left-hand side.
Chelsea, on-the-other-hand, have significantly more depth, having captured both Marcos Alonso and David Luiz over the summer – but the arrival of Kolašinac would allow Azpilicueta to move to the right-hand side on a full-time basis.
