The Liverpool fans here in the Transfer Tavern were left jumping for joy yesterday evening after a superb 1-1 draw against Borussia Dortmund, left them in pole position for a place in the semi-final of the Europa League.
The draw over in Germany came at a cost however with captain Jordan Henderson suffering what looked to be a potentially serious knee injury.
The German boss confirmed to BT Sport, via the Metro afterwards that ‘he has a knee injury and that’s not too good – it’s really bad news.’
Henderson has already been missing for three months of the 2015/16 campaign with an injured heel which required surgery and fans of both Liverpool and England will be praying that the scan on his knee offers a positive outcome.
The 25-year-old is a certainty to be named in Roy Hodgson’s Euro 2016 squad and his absence would represent a big blow for the Three Lions.
Liverpool fans, how much of a loss would Henderson be? Who would replace him in the team?
