According to The Liverpool Echo, Joe Gomez is a target for Bournemouth with the local Reds fans here in the Transfer Tavern wanting to see their young star playing regularly.
He initially impressed when he signed in the 2015 summer window by filling in at left-back for the Reds, but he sustained a nasty injury that has kept him out for some time.
Since, he’s suffered other injuries too but it appears that the Cherries have not forgotten those early performances in a red shirt and could be set to make a loan offer in January.
Eddie Howe has already done business with Liverpool this season after signing Jordon Ibe permanently in the summer, whilst his loan moves have seen him get Jack Wilshere in from Arsenal, helping the Cherries to eleventh in the Premier League table so far.
It’s a potential move that seems to be being welcomed by both the Reds and Bournemouth supporters here in the Transfer Tavern with one Liverpool fan by the bar saying: “He looks like he’s going to be class, so some extra first team football would be perfect.”
Whilst a Bournemouth fan said: “I agree, he does look like a top defender already and he’d be more than welcome at the Vitality!”
