Liverpool fans in the Football Transfer Tavern are heading to the bar to get another drink, as the Daily Mirror has linked them with Lazio’s young midfielder Felipe Anderson.
The 21-year-old was assessed by Liverpool scouts as he played the full 90 minutes in their 4-0 win over Fiorentina, which saw them enter the top three in Serie A.
The Brazilian youngster has made a name for himself in Italy and it is no shock that Liverpool are jumping on the bandwagon as Brendan Rodgers looks to add more dynamism to his midfield.
Anderson has seven goals and eight assists to his name after 23 games, making him an integral part of Stefano Pioli’s side.
It will be difficult for Liverpool to rip him out of the Stadio Olimpico as he is contracted to the club until 2018.
But Lazio could look to cash in on their young talent, especially if bids exceed £20 million, and many Reds fans in the Tavern are getting excited about the prospect of signing the star.
