The Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern are desperate to see Jurgen Klopp sign a few big names this summer…
The Reds have fallen off the tracks somewhat in recent weeks, with Jurgen Klopp clearly needing to improve his side this summer if he wants to secure a Premier League title change next season.
However, it would appear as though Liverpool have suffered a blow in that regard – with the Mirror reporting that Naby Keita, who the Reds are apparently keen on, is slowly slipping out of the grasp of Klopp.
The Mirror note that Bayern Munich are leading the chase for the player, with Champions League football reportedly key, and Klopp – who is a big fan of the midfielder – could resultantly miss out this summer.
This would certainly come as a big blow for Klopp and the Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern, with a midfield enforcer like Keita exactly the sort of player that the Reds need. Jordan Henderson, Adam Lallana and company are great players, but they each offer qualities that simply don’t match that of a player like Keita.
Too often this season have Liverpool been blown out of the water by impressive attacking teams, and his arrival would certainly make the Reds far more solid at the back.
Our landlord has come through with some good news, though, and has reminded the Reds that we are still several months away from the summer – and so Klopp has more than enough time to secure a few signings.
