As a result, the Portugal international was officially nominated for the monthly accolade alongside the likes Bruno Fernandes, Harry Kane, Sergio Reguilon, Jamie Vardy and James Ward-Prowse.
This asserts the importance of Jota to Jurgen Klopp’s side, with his assistant Pep Ljinders previously describing him as a “pressing monster” after having watched him for some time before the Merseysiders made their move (cited by Empire of the Kop).
