Liverpool fans believe that Luis Suarez should win the 2011 contender for the club’s Goal of the Decade contest with his goal during the 2-1 win against Stoke City in the League Cup.
Suarez beautifully nutmegged Ryan Shotton before unleashing a right-footed curling effort which beat an outstretched Thomas Sorensen in between the Potters’ sticks.

The victory in the fourth round of the then-Carling Cup meant that the Reds marched into the next round, going on to win the trophy after beating Cardiff City on penalties.

The club’s official website released an array of goals during the calendar year that were put forward to go through to the final Goal of the Decade vote.
Supporters were adamant that Suarez should win the 2011 contender and made their feelings clear on social media. One fan described the former Liverpool No. 7’s goal as “pure filth”.
