Liverpool: Fans buzz over this Sadio Mane goalscoring record

After netting Liverpool’s opener against Aston Villa, Sadio Mane has now registered at least 20 goals in three consecutive seasons.

His Anfield strike takes him to 20 goals across all competitions for this season, totalling 79 goals 34 assists since his first appearance in red (via Transfermarkt). Mane signed from Southampton in 2016 for a fee of £34 million (via BBC Sport). The Senegal international is now worth a reported £108 million.

Mane’s 16-goal Premier League campaign helped his side clinch their first ever Premier League trophy and first title win in 30 years. Their impressive season makes the Reds the fastest team to wrap up the league title, with seven games to spare (via ESPN).

Another Red has said Mane is ‘better than Rashford’, as the winger boasts higher numbers than Manchester United’s star man. Liverpool’s ace boasts 16 goals and seven assists in the Premier League this season, whilst Rashford has 15 goals and six assists. Mane has also averaged a better passing accuracy of 80.9% compared to the 22-year-old’s 76.5% (via WhoScored).
