A lot of Liverpool fans have been waiting for their club to get some transfers over the line and it looks increasingly likely that their deal for Xherdan Shaqiri will be completed in the coming days, with the Telegraph’s John Percy claiming that a fee of £13.75 million has been agreed and the Swiss international is having a medical today.
Xherdan Shaqiri set for medical at Liverpool on Friday. Deal agreed with Stoke, release clause is around £13.75m. Will be Klopp’s third summer signing #lfc #scfc

Liverpool have one of the strongest starting elevens on the planet but one of their problems last season was their depth. The Champions League final was a very telling game as Gareth Bale came off the bench for Real Madrid and score twice to decide the match, meanwhile, when Jurgen Klopp turned to his bench he was left looking at Dominic Solanke and a half-fit Adam Lallana.
Jurgen Klopp has already bolstered his midfield with Naby Keita and Fabinho coming in this summer but now the fans will have an attacking option to cheer on in the form of Stoke City’s Xherdan Shaqiri. The Swiss international is unlikely to usurp either Sadio Mane or Mo Salah in the wide forward positions for the club but off the bench, the 26-year-old presents himself as a menacing option that any club would be pleased to have.

Good squad addition for a bargain, no doubting his quality, also no doubting his laziness

Rather see him come on than lallana, look at the price then look how weak the bench was last season. Absolute bargain

The fans all seem delighted with the Shaqiri move and it seems a matter of when and not if he’ll sign now.
