Loads of Liverpool fans have congratulated Rangers manager Steven Gerrard for advancing to the last 16 of the Europa League.
The Reds legend guided his side to a 1-0 win against Braga on Wednesday as Melwood graduate Ryan Kent scored the second half winner to send the Glasgow side through. In the first leg, Gerrard’s side completed a stunning comeback as the Gers came from 2-0 down to win 3-2 at Ibrox.
Plenty of debate has taken place in relation to whether the former Liverpool captain could take over from Jurgen Klopp at the end of his current contract in 2024. This victory will be another strike in his favour as he gains more experience in the world of football management. With this in mind, some Reds supporters sent their tributes to Gerrard following his team’s success in Europe. One fan offered his congratulations to Gerrard for progressing, while another offered a verbal pat on the back by saying “well done”.
