Plenty of Liverpool fans have been reacting in delight after the club were linked with a move for the Inter Milan midfielder Nicolo Barella.
According to FCInterNews, Liverpool have been named among five clubs who are interested in the 23-year-old’s services, with Manchester United, Arsenal, Atletico Madrid and Barcelona in the race for his signature.

Barella can play as the deepest or highest midfielder, as well as in a more central role, providing a perfect blend of versatility that manager Jurgen Klopp would surely love.
From 50 appearances, the Italy international has scored four goals and provided 12 assists for I Nerazzurri, and possesses plenty of experience in Serie A (TransferMarkt). He provided a simply stunning volleyed back-heel assist in the Champions League this week.

With this in mind, supporters were excited by the prospect of Barella coming to Anfield, who would be the young man stepping into the shoes of Georginio Wijnaldum. The Dutchman is on the brink of turning 30 and his contract situation yet to be resolved.
