But the extent of the damage was revealed on Saturday, as Record revealed that the Portugal international will be missing for the next two months due to a knee injury, meaning he’s now joining the likes of Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez in the group of those currently on the sidelines with knee injuries.
Jota has been sensational for the Merseysiders since his £41m move from Wolves in the summer, scoring nine goals in 17 appearances in all competitions (TransferMarkt).

Unsurprisingly, supporters were not pleased with the news, taking into account the current injury crisis that Liverpool have on their hands.
