Many Liverpool fans reacted in delight after an update was provided regarding the Reds’ reported interest in West Ham United midfielder Declan Rice.
According to The Guardian, Frank Lampard’s exit as Chelsea manager has ended any chance of the Blues signing the 22-year-old, which could potentially open up the path for the Reds to make a move in the summer.

Rice has the ability to play in central midfield and at centre back, which could be in line with manager Jurgen Klopp’s thinking due to his side’s injury crisis this season.
Both Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez have been ruled out for a significant amount of time due to serious knee injuries. With Joel Matip also struggling to stay fit, Liverpool have no established centre-backs to choose from.
