Liverpool have reportedly reignited their interest in the highly sought-after Kalidou Koulibaly.
According to Duncan Castles (relayed via @AnfieldEdition), there is ‘a degree of interest’ from Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool in the Napoli defender. If the intrigue is there and the Reds want to pursue a move, they must fend off rivals Manchester City, who are also keen admirers of the Senegal international.

In a recent report from The Mirror, City had shown major interest in the defender and they have been tipped to acquire his signature. Napoli were forced to slash their asking price for Koulibaly due to financial circumstances, with a new asking price of £65m for the 29-year-old.
With two of the best teams in England potentially battling over him, Koulibaly will be spoiled for choice. Many Liverpool fans believe that it’s too good to be true but aren’t hiding their excitement over the transfer link and it isn’t the first time that they’ve dreamed about his arrival.
One supporter has urged the club to ‘get this done’, with another exclaiming ‘imagine him and van Dijk’ as a pair at the heart of the Reds’ defence.
