Loads of Liverpool fans have been left fuming as the Liverpool Echo have reported that Jurgen Klopp’s team are unlikely to sign a central defender in the January transfer window.
Given the long-term injuries to both Virgil Van Dijk and Joe Gomez, perhaps the Anfield faithful should be looking into the market for cover in that position until the end of the 2020/21 term, even if it is just on a short-term loan deal.

The Reds have been linked with a move for RB Leipzig duo Ibrahima Konate and Dayot Upamecano, who both may come at a very costly price, but could both be worth the money in the long-term in case either Van Dijk or Gomez get injured again for a long period of time.
Nonetheless, it seems as if signing a new centre-back in January may be out of the question, which as not gone down well at all with several LFC supporters.
