Some Liverpool fans were left furious by a decision Jurgen Klopp made late in the FA Cup defeat to Chelsea, as the boss opted to introduce Mohamed Salah with just ten minutes remaining.
The Reds have now lost three of their last four matches in all competitions, and whether you see it as a blessing or a curse that those three defeats were spread out across three different competitions, they simply must get back on track against Bournemouth this weekend.
And that is perhaps what Klopp had in mind when he decided to wait until the 80th minute to introduce his star man on Tuesday night, despite trailing 2-0 at Stamford Bridge. Salah was able to touch the ball just nine times in his short cameo, completing only four passes (Sofascore), so he certainly did not have enough time to make an impact.
One supporter said it was an ’embarrassing’ decision from the manager while others simply protested that it was too late, and you can find some of the best Twitter reactions down below…

Should have played the kids then. What’s the point of playing these guys in the second half after going 2-0 down? Also Alisson traveled and didn’t play.
Klopp just doesn’t rate the English cups, that’s it.— The Unbearables (@TheUnbearables2) March 3, 2020

Klopp’s subs timing is a joke. That’s 3 losses in the last 4 games. Worrying. Good thing we have a 22 point lead otherwise I’d be worried about the league too.

Waited wayyyyyy too late. Ridiculous. Should have been on after the 2nd goal.
