Liverpool have been dealt a blow in regards to their summer links to Bayern Munich’s Thiago Alcantara.
According to Neil Jones (relayed via @AnfieldEdition), the Reds are unlikely to strike a deal for the midfield man this window. In fact, the report has labelled the move as ‘unlikely, if not impossible’.

Thiago is Liverpool’s only main transfer link so far and if a deal is off the table, they could be looking at a very quiet summer window. However, with Adam Lallana gone and Gini Wijnaldum yet to sign a new deal, the Reds’ midfield could be an area of concern for the newly crowned Premier League champions.
Loads of Liverpool fans have flocked to the update and are airing their frustrations, with some lashing out at Fenway Sports Group. It’s not the first time the fanbase has took aim at FSG for their lack of spending over the last couple of years.
