Liverpool fans have showered captain Jordan Henderson with praise after his performance against Salzburg on Tuesday.
The England international led his team to a 2-0 win against RB Salzburg in the Champions League to help them win Group E and advance to the next round of the competition.
The affair was branded as “like a final” by manager Jurgen Klopp, who came across as irritated during the build-up to the match in Austria.
With Fabinho suffering ankle ligament damage against Napoli at Anfield, Henderson stepped in the Brazilian’s boots as he took the defensive role in his absence.

During the affair, Henderson made 11 ball recoveries, made two tackles and accumulated a pass success rate of 84% (via FotMob). This helped his side keep a clean sheet and knock the Austrian side out of the Champions League.
