Liverpool: Fans laud Andy Robertson as he betters last season’s assist record

Andy Robertson continues to improve in his goal contributions as he bettered his record from last season.

The official Liverpool FC Twitter has revealed the left-back has finished this campaign on 12 Premier League assists, which is one more than last time round.

The Scotsman has enjoyed an illustrious season with the Reds, playing a crucial part in the club’s first ever Premier League title win and first top flight trophy in 30 years. Robertson’s stats for the whole term see him round off 2019/20 with three goals and 12 assists (via Transfermarkt).

Liverpool bought the full-back for the bargain fee of £8million from Hull City in 2018 (via BBC Sport). Robertson’s worth since joining the Merseyside outfit has spiked to a huge £57.6m.

Loads of Reds have flocked to the club’s post to heap praise onto the Scot, with one supporter branding him as ‘phenomenal’. Another fan has commented on how much of a ‘great signing’ he has been since he first stepped foot onto the pitch in red.
