Liverpool: Fans laugh at Gerard Pique as he refuses to talk about Liverpool

Liverpool fans have mocked Barcelona midfielder Gerard Pique after he would not talk about last season’s Champions League semi-final where his side threw away a three-goal lead and exited the competition.

The Catalan giants were knocked out at the penultimate stage after losing 4-0 at Anfield and the heartache of the night is still raw for the defender.

The Reds went on to be crowned European champions for the sixth time and have picked up where they left off during the current campaign. They top the Premier League and sit at the summit of their Champions League group.

Gerard Pique was a guest on late night Spanish television show ‘La Resistencia’ on Wednesday night.

When a member of the show’s audience shouted ‘What about Liverpool?’ Pique said:

Pique appeared on the late-night Spanish television show ‘La Resistencia‘ and walked off the program when he was asked about that fateful night at Anfield, stating to the hosts that it was “agreed” that the game would not be discussed.

Supporters did not hold any sympathy in reserve for Pique and made that clear with their responses on social media.
