Liverpool moved eight points clear at the top of the Premier League table with a commanding 3-1 victory over Manchester City on Sunday.
Goals from Fabinho and Mohamed Salah proved too much for the champions, with Sadio Mane adding a third early on in the second half.

The win extended the gap to Pep Guardiola’s team to nine points, who sit fourth going into the international break, behind Leicester and Chelsea.
The game could’ve turned out very differently, however. City were denied a penalty early on when the ball appeared to strike the arm of Trent Alexander-Arnold, leading to a Liverpool counter-attack which ended up with Fabinho firing a long-range strike home.
Raheem Sterling was the embodiment of City’s struggles and annoyance at Anfield. His frustration boiled over into an altercation with Reds defender and England colleague Joe Gomez.
Here’s how some Liverpool fans reacted to that incident from the game:

If Gomez had planted him out and red carded I wouldn’t even had been upset

Honestly I don’t know and maybe wrong at this, but I see Gomez frustration at not getting enough minutes in this bit of video. Hard to believe that, he’s quality. Hope he gets more minutes and gets back to first team.
