Liverpool fans have mocked Gary Neville after what he said about the club at the start of the season.
The former Manchester United defender made two interesting predictions in the summer about Jurgen Klopp’s side that got people talking at the time, which have recently resurfaced due to the current state of the Premier League table.

The Merseysiders top the standings and sit 10 points clear of Leicester City ahead of tonight’s clash against Sheffield United.
Neville’s former side have struggled domestically since the retirement of Sir Alex Ferguson. Despite this, he told Sky Sports (via talkSPORT) that Mohamed Salah will leave at the end of this season and boldly stated that his old team will win the Premier League title again before Liverpool claim their first taste of league triumph since 1990.
Supporters were quick to remind Neville of the comments that he made at the beginning of the current campaign and made their feelings clear on social media.
One fan said that his comments reeked of “desperation”, while another stated that it was no surprise that he was a failed manager after the 44-year-old took charge of the Spanish side Valencia for just 28 games.
