Liverpool are among a multitude of clubs with an interest in signing Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Kai Havertz in 2020, according to German publication Sport 1.
This Is Anfield relayed those reports on their website and Twitter channel (@thisisanfield), claiming that the Reds are one of eight clubs chasing a deal in the region of €100m (£91.53m) for the 20-year-old.

According to Sport 1, Liverpool are joined in the race for Havertz by Bayern Munich, Barcelona, Real Madrid, Manchester City, Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal.
The midfielder has scored in both of Bayer Leverkusen’s first two competitive games this season, a DFB-Pokal win over Alemannia Aachen and a Bundesliga victory against Paderborn.
Despite only turning 20 this summer, he has already played more than 100 times for Leverkusen and won three senior caps for Germany.
If Liverpool were to follow up their initial interest in Havertz with a serious bid next year, it would represent a change of approach from this summer’s modest transfer window.
The Reds’ only additions to the squad since the end of last season were teenagers Sepp van den Berg and Harvey Elliott, along with out of contract goalkeepers Adrian and Andy Lonergan.
