Plenty of Liverpool fans have rubbished rumours that their club are interested in signing Villarreal winger Samu Chukwueze.
According to France Football (via The Mirror), the Reds submitted a £29.5m bid which was rejected by the Spanish outfit. Jurgen Klopp made the move in the January transfer window, as the report suggests, and was keen to follow the addition of Takumi Minamino to his ranks with the services of the Nigerian winger.
Chukwueze has scored four goals and provided four assists in 26 appearances during the current campaign (as per TransferMarkt) and the 20-year-old is a strong dribbler of the ball, with an average of 1.8 dribbles per game (via WhoScored). With this in mind, some supporters were not convinced and made their feelings clear on social media. One fan said that he is not Liverpool’s kind of player, while another said that the move is ‘unlikely’.
