A lot of Liverpool fans have been commenting on the young stars that they thought would make it at Liverpool and one name is cropping up more than any other, Suso. The Spanish winger has found a home for himself in Milan and the Reds are gutted that they aren’t benefitting from his peak years.
Who was the 1 youth player you had the most hopes for at Liverpool and thought would make it?
Krisztian Nemeth for me. Thought he was going to replace Torres some day lol

The Spaniard joined Anfield as a member of the U23 squad back in 2010, however, after a fairly unsuccessful loan to Almeria and being unable to crack the first-team, the winger was sold to AC Milan for a fee of just over £1 million in January 2015. That would turn out to be a huge mistake as the 26-year-old is now one of AC Milan’s brightest stars and is often the one that the fans turn to when they need a moment of magic.
The fans are mostly blaming Brendan Rodgers for Suso’s failure to make a name for himself on Merseyside. The impressive livewire has been in Italy for just over three years now and it’s not surprising at all to hear that it would cost a tad more than £1 million to prise him for the San Siro. In today’s market, The Rossoneri would be well within their rights to want £50 million for the versatile attacking midfielder who can play both on the wing or in the ten.
You can what the Liverpool fans make of Suso here:
Suso, even though he’s become a top player anyway now. Would be ideal as our no 10

Always Suso. He did make it elsewhere though. Major mistake from Rodgers not giving him a chance. Yesil as well but only because of his youth record. Also Herbie Kane (and Trent) cause Gerrard said so in his book

Dani Pacheco and Suso, I still don’t understand why we allowed Suso to leave

Has to be Suso, he was like Iniesta but always seem to be missing that one thing at senior level. Good to see him doing ok now

Suso for sure. Has made a name for himself in Milan but think at that time he could’ve pushed his way into our first team.

It seems clear from these tweets that the fans are gutted that the club decided to let Suso leave.
