Liverpool fans have been begging their club to get the signing of both Nabil Fekir and a goalkeeper over the line for a while now and if that’s to happen it’s likely that they need to sell some of their assets to free up wages and transfer funds. According to The Sun, those wages and funds could be freed up as Danny Ings could be off to Southampton.
About time we sorted them out a few to be honest. https://t.co/Qhx0yks4Cy

Liverpool have become embroiled in a bit of a running joke with Southampton as they’ve signed a large number of players off the Saints in the last few years. Rickie Lamber, Adam Lallana, Virgil Van Dijk, Nathaniel Clyne and Dejan Lovren were all signed directly from St Mary’s and it would be nice to see the Reds give something back to the club that they’ve raided so many times. However, it would hardly be friendly business as the Reds are looking for £20m.
Even by today’s standards, £20 million for Danny Ings is ludicrous. The English front-man has spent the last two years of his career injured and on the sidelines and considering that just three years ago he joined Anfield for less than £10 million it’s hard to see where Jurgen Klopp and co seem to think Ings has got his added value from. There’s no doubting he’s a good goalscorer but with his lack of game time and injury woes, it’s impossible that his value has more than doubled.
You can see the Liverpool fans’ thoughts on Ings here:
Ings is a good lad as well, deserves to play somewhere consistently now that his injuries have been sorted out.

Just from the tweets above you can see that the Liverpool fans are more than keen to get Ings off the wage bill this summer.
