Liverpool fans on Twitter are loving Mo Salah’s latest comments

The Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern have been reacting to Mohamed Salah’s comments regarding the Champions League. The Egyptian sensation, whilst speaking in an interview for the Liverpool website, claimed that he would easily cast aside the Golden Boot if it meant winning the Champions League this season.

Mo Salah has been an absolute revelation on Merseyside this season, scoring 30 Premier League goals in just 32 Premier League appearances whilst also setting up ten goals for teammates. The 25-year-old is on course to shatter a number of individual goalscoring records, although he’d be happy to give them all up if it meant winning the Champions League under Jurgen Klopp with Liverpool this season.

The Champions League semi-finals will be tough for Salah as he goes up against his old club AS Roma. The Egyptian scored an impressive 34 goals in his 83 games for the Italian side, although he’s been much more clinical since swapping the Stadio Olimpico for Anfield last summer. It remains to be seen whether Salah can go on to lead Liverpool to European glory or not, but whatever the outcome of this season, the Liverpool fans love Mo Salah.
