Liverpool fans have been praising right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold for his incredible display for England against the U.S.A. at Wembley on Thursday.
The 20-year-old scored his first international goal as Gareth Southgate’s men cruised to a comfortable 3-0 victory. But apart from scoring the second goal of the night, Alexander-Arnold’s statistics were the best in many categories, which led to him receiving the Man of the Match award.
The Reds’ fullback had the most touches (111), made the most tackles (5) and delivered the most crosses (7), while he also created two chances of his own.
Alexander-Arnold has been rotated by Jurgen Klopp this season with Joe Gomez being used at right-back on a few occasions but the academy graduate was back on form in Sunday’s 2-0 win over Fulham.
The club’s fans are now eager to see him continue this form when the Premier League action resumes next weekend.

Been a grim day on a number of levels but great to see @trentaa98 become the latest local lad to make a big impression on the international stage.
