Liverpool were dealt a tough group in the Champions League this season. The Reds have had to face Napoli, PSG and Red Star Belgrade in a group where nothing was guaranteed. Even now, with four out of six games in the group behind us, The Reds’ fate is still up in the air. Next Wednesday sees the club travel to face PSG, and none of the fans want to see Kylian Mbappe play.
Granted, there’s still plenty of time for both Neymar and Kylian Mbappe to be declared fit to face Liverpool, but…

On Tuesday evening, both Mbappe and Neymar was subbed off with injuries whilst playing for their countries. Neymar came off against Cameroon at Stadium MK whilst Mbappe had to be hooked against Uruguay. It’s unlikely that the injuries will keep them out of their clash with Liverpool in less than seven days time but that doesn’t mean there isn’t a chance of them missing out.
Today, a Liverpool fan account asked the question of who’d they’d rather see miss out of the pair if the supporters had the choice and the fans all choose Mbappe. The French wonderkid has got it all and at the age of just 19, he’s already one of the best footballers in the world. His raw pace, ability in front of goal and awareness of what’s going on around him makes him incredibly dangerous and Jurgen Klopp will have to be at his tactical best to shut down the World Cup winner if he plays.

Mbappe hands down. Neymar is way more disruptive to the flow of their play by holding on to the ball and constantly falling down. Mbappe is way more dangerous if PSG move the ball up the field with fluidity due to his good movement off the ball, pace and power.

The Kopites will have to be at their best to beat PSG no matter who plays, they’ll just have to hope it’s made a little bit easier by having Mbappe and Neymar both miss out.
