Liverpool fans on Twitter hated seeing Moreno start

Liverpool are blessed with having one of the strongest starting elevens in the world when they field their best side. However, when you take out some of their key players, they have a number of positions where the backup option is below par and left-back is one of those. Andrew Robertson was rested yesterday, giving Alberto Moreno a run in the side, and the fans were far from happy.

At the end of the day the only thing that matters is the result when the final whistle is lown and it was another three points for The Reds when the game was over as goals from Mo Salah, Xherdan Shaqiri and a Sadio Mane double saw Klopp’s side waltz to a 4-1 victory at Anfield. Although that didn’t stop them fuming at the fact that their Spanish left-back was given a run in the team, and they’ll be happy when Moreno has left.

Alberto Moreno is a good option when he’s going forward. His pace and ability to beat a man on the front-foot would make him a superb addition to the Liverpool squad, but unfortunately, he’s just not quite good enough when tested at the back and with the fans and Klopp knowing that it looks like he’ll be on his way in the upcoming January or summer transfer windows, which will benefit all parties as Moreno will get more game time elsewhere and the Reds won’t have to worry about him costing them goals.
