Sometimes, football fans can be incredibly cruel towards players that they don’t particularly like or rate. When it comes to Anfield, the one man who the Reds are quick to jump on is Jordan Henderson, and as he’s come out and shared his ambitions of winning silverware on the Liverpool website, the fans have once again been on his back.
“We’ve put ourselves in a great position to compete. And now it’s down to us to just keep going.”
The skipper has spoken about increased motivation for the season

Liverpool fans have got some wait until their next game. They’re not back in action until March 31st when they take on Tottenham at Anfield, and Jordan Henderson will certainly be chomping at the bit to get back into action and try to gain some more ground on Manchester City, who are two points behind the Reds with a game in hand as things stand.
The title race is definitely one that looks like going to the wire, and with Jurgen Klopp’s side competing on two fronts in both the Premier League and the Champions League, Hendo and co at Melwood will surely be confident of going on and winning something this season. In Henderson’s time as the Anfield skipper he’s yet to win anything, and whilst that run continues the fans will be quick to slander him, so the chance to lift some silverware and shut the fans up will be one the midfielder is desperate for.
Until then, though, the fans won’t stop, and here’s what they’ve been saying on Twitter:
Top intention and desire. Just not enough quality. YNWA, Hendo.

Good intentions & a good lad overall but sadly not the quality we need

How can we grow if you’re still the captain and always starting games instead of sitting on the bench. You’re one of those hindering the club growth on the field. Do us a Favour , stay indoor

The most clueless Liverpool midfielder

The Kopites are all clear on their thoughts of Henderson and will be desperate for Klopp to leave him out when they face Spurs, as they just don’t believe the 28-year-old is up the required standard.
